London South Bank University

The LSBU Motorsport team is made up of 24 members mostly Mechanical Engineering students from London South Bank University.

The team is making its debut this year with aspirations to take part in the Class 1 competition. The team was first formed in 2015, and from then on has been going through research and feasibility studies in order to setup a comprehensive project. From 2015 to 2017, the team has grown in numbers from six second year B.Eng Mechanical Engineering students to a team of 24 members including Post Graduate Mechanical and Electrical Engineering students. London South Bank University’s School of Mechanical Engineering and Design has been instrumental in assisting the team with both financial and infrastructure support. The 2017 vehicle is the debut car and will be a benchmark vehicle for future design choices. The team would like to thank their previous members and sponsors, London South Bank University, Ricardo Wave, Lotus Shark, and GKN, who with their support have managed to make this project a success.
