ION racing is a team consisting of approximately 35 students.

ION Racing has, for the 2017 season, built a single motor rear wheel driven electric race car. ION Racing team’s main goal is to have a robust, fully functional race car that completes all dynamic events. The main features of the car are the carbon fibre monocoque, single motor electric drive with mechanical differential, self-developed accumulator, BMS, ECU and high voltage inverter. They are transporting their car and equipment from Norway to England by lorry, driving through France and taking the ferry from Calais. ION Racing is very happy to have so many kind, generous sponsors and they would like to highlight SKF, Altair, University of Stavanger, KEIL, Saertex, Lindberg og Lund, Salte as, Smed T.
