The Race-Ing. Team of UAS Dortmund is a group of engaged students of different courses of studies.
Since 2005 we come along, faithful to the head note of the advanced technical college „a small step from the theory to the practice”, to apply in it the learnt and to deepen at the same time important soft skills.
With an average number of team members of about 23 over the years, the Race-Ing. Team is working in a two-year development period. This means a fully new developed race car every two years with a forceful optimized 2nd year version in between.
Main goal for the current car was to decrease the overall weight in parts like the CFPR-Monocoque, the cooling-system and the final drive
In the past months we upgraded the steering system, the suspension und the gear shifting mechanism to improve the drivability. Additional data loggers and sensors were installed, a new display and a new pedal box were installed, also. These upgrades combined with our team spirit led us proudly enter the Silverstone racetrack with our RI-15.
The Race-Ing. Team wishes all participants and organizers, all visitors and of course the red shirt an amazing event and all the best for the competitions.
