UWB Racing Team Pilsen is a student team of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. The University was founded in 1949 and it changed into its present form in 1991.
The Formula Student project was created at the university in 2009. A new team was established this year after a two-year break. Our new car consists of steel space frame and is equipped with engine Yamaha – YZF-R6 2013. The engine is equipped with a new timing of camshafts and a dry sump system. We have made a few adjustments on the engine such as increasing the compression ratio by reducing the cylinder heads height and polishing the exhaust channels. The new shift system is operated by compressed gas and equipped with an automatic clutch. The 39th place at the Formula UK 2013 is our best result so far. Our general sponsors are the University of West Bohemia and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Mubea, ZF Engineering and many others. All of our partners deserve our great thanks.
