Team Profile

Team Bath Racing’s 2015 team (TBR15) are 20 undergraduate engineers that formed back in February 2014. Their brief was to win FSUK 2015, and this goal has remained a strong focus ever since, pushing every single area to be not only better than last year but also better than any of the competition.

Advances in composite manufacturing techniques and utilising new technologies such as 3D metallic printing, means that the lightweight philosophy has remained king. This year also sees the first full aerodynamic package from the team. A lightweight CFRP floor and diffuser coupled with a front and rear wing designed as one package, should allow for maximum downforce, even with challenging new regulations.

Our powertrain team have also been very busy, moving to a new turbocharged KTM single cylinder engine running on E85 fuel; a dramatic change from last year. We believe this setup will be the perfect combination of torque, weight and efficiency.
