Team profile

The 2014 Phoenix Racing car utilises an electric power-train rather than the contemporary combustion engine. In keeping with Coventry University being the Number 1 Modern University, keeping the car updated with current technologies was a priority in addition to keeping it dynamic.

The team is split into 5 subgroups: Chassis, Power-Train, Dynamics, Unsprung and Aerodynamics, who all report to an overall project leader.

In addition to FS UK, the team are also hoping to be competing at European events, which may include Germany, Hungary and Estonia.

Overall, we would like to thank R.L Walsh Coventry, Tata Technologies and Motorsport-Staff for their support throughout the project. In addition, a huge thanks to the IMechE for awarding Coventry with the £2500 team bursary.
