Team Name :

PWR Racing Team

University :

Wroclaw University of Technology

Class : Class 1
Car Number : 9
Country : Poland

Team was funded in 2009. Since then 6 cars have been built. Season 2015 was the most successful for the team so far. We got 9th place overall in FSAE Michigan 2015 and Formula Student UK 2015, with 3rd place in Acceleration Event, 10th overall in Formula Student Germany 2015 and 3rd place in Design Presentation Event on Formula Student Czech Republic 2015.

RT07 is the 7th race car built by the Team. The main design goals for this construction were weight reduction and improvement of cornering, with additional goal being reliability.

To meet the goals it has been decided to use a CFRP monocoque and power the car with a Honda CBR 600RR engine. The vehicle runs on 10” aluminium alloy wheels. The suspension geometry uses SLA type double wishbones, which allowed us to achieve proper roll and camber control. Moreover it has been decided to develop first aerodynamic package.

By applying smart design and weight optimization we managed to keep the dry weight of the car to 185kg. Proper engine tuning and utilization of quick shifting and launch control systems allowed us to achieve acceleration 0-100km/h of just 3,7 seconds.
